How do I add widgets to my Dock?

In Manage Docks, select a custom profile and open the widget library. Add a widget, then connect its service if needed.

Does a custom dock replace Apple’s Dock?

Use a Custom Dock alongside your macOS Dock and manage profiles for both. Prefer the familiar Dock? Use Dockset just to save and switch its profiles. Or use only a Custom Dock and let Dockset auto-hide the macOS Dock.

Can I add my Mac’s existing widgets?

Dockset uses its own widgets. Apple’s desktop widgets and WidgetKit extensions aren’t supported.

What does Dockset save?

Native profiles save the pinned apps and spacers in Apple’s Dock. Custom profiles save their own apps, folders, files, links, and widgets.

What happens to my open apps?

Switching profiles doesn’t open or close apps or move your windows. In Native profiles, running apps can remain in Apple’s Dock until you quit them. In a custom dock, you can select an app to launch or activate it.

Does it need an account?

You don’t need a Dockset account. Your layouts stay on your Mac, and you can move them with export and import. Connected widgets use the accounts for the services you choose.

Which macOS versions are supported?

Dockset requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.
