Connect Paddle
Show Paddle Billing net revenue, MRR, and ARR in your Dock.

Before you start
This widget connects to Paddle Billing. Paddle Classic is not supported. Add Paddle from Add Widget → Business, then open it.
Create an API key
- In Paddle, open Developer tools → Authentication → API keys and create a new key.
- Name it Dockset and give it Metrics → Read (
metrics.read) permission. No Write permissions are needed. - Choose an expiry date that works for you, save the key, and copy it while it is visible.

Use a live key for your business or a sandbox key for test data. Follow Paddle’s API key guide if the dashboard labels differ.
Connect in Dockset
- Enter an account name and choose a color.
- Paste the key into Paddle API key and choose Connect. Live keys start with
pdl_live_apikey_; sandbox keys start withpdl_sdbx_apikey_. - Choose your account, metric, period, and whether to show a chart.
What the numbers mean
- Net revenue: Paddle’s reported revenue after tax and fees, before refunds and chargebacks. It uses your primary balance currency and UTC days.
- MRR: Paddle’s latest reported monthly recurring revenue. The period controls the chart; the headline value is the latest reported amount.
- ARR: the latest MRR × 12. This is annualized recurring revenue, not a forecast of cash collected.
Dockset reads Paddle’s metrics rather than calculating them from individual transactions. See Paddle’s net revenue definition.
If the connection fails
- Key rejected: use a current Paddle Billing API key, not a checkout client-side token or a legacy key. Check whether it has expired or been revoked.
- Permission error: make sure the key includes
metrics.read. - Missing real activity: check whether the selected account is marked Sandbox. Sandbox credentials do not show live sales.
- Rate limit or service error: wait a few minutes and use Refresh. The widget normally refreshes every five minutes while active.
Disconnect an account
Disconnect removes the key from macOS Keychain on this Mac. Revoke it in Paddle to invalidate it there too. Share the error message with support if you need help, but keep the key private.
