Choose a location

1. Add Weather from the widget library and open it.
2. Enter a city, click Search, and select the matching result.
3. Or click Use current location and allow location access when macOS asks.

The widget saves the place you choose. To change it later, right-click Weather and choose Configure widget….

Choose what appears

In the widget’s configuration, choose Current, Conditions, or Hourly forecast. Set Temperature to Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Click the configured widget to see its forecast and last-updated time. Add another Weather widget if you want to keep a second place in your Dock.

If weather is missing

If location access is denied, search for a city instead. If a search finds nothing, try a nearby town or a more specific place name.

Forecasts need an internet connection. Check the error in the widget and use Try again when available.
